Over time that I stayed here, I had the incredible opportunity to travel across 49 out of 50 states, immersing myself in the unique beauty and character of each one. Yet, despite all my travels, one state still remains unvisited an adventure waiting to happen.

My 2 day visit to Malaysia on New Year’s Day in 1999 was exactly that a brief but unforgettable glimpse into a country rich in culture, diversity, and vibrancy. As I stepped into Kuala Lumpur, the energy of the new year was evident in the air. The towering Petronas Twin Towers stood as a symbol of modern ambition, while the bustling streets of Chinatown and the aromatic flavors of local street food still remind me of Malaysia’s deep-rooted traditions.
