The day started with warm self cooked breakfast. Weather was beautiful today. It didn’t rain for the whole day and the sun also peaked out towards post noon.
Our first destination, supposedly a hot river after a small trek turned out to be anything but small trek and the river other than hot river. Nevertheless after a steep climb and many beautiful stops later we came back content with some pictures including of a beautiful fall which was on the way of the trek.

Kerid crater was a quick but nice stop and looks magical in its existence. The turquoise blue water is inviting enough for some people to take the steps down to the crater.
Next stop was a tomato farm with obviously lots of tomatoes and few Icelandic farm horses. A business idea of showing tomatoes in a farm and some home made recipe seem to be paying well.
The drive all around the golden circle is beautiful and full of Icelandic beauty. Horses and sheep grazing, beautiful moss on volcanic hilly slopes, and nature in its pristine condition is well maintained.

Later we visited the world fame Geysir, some small pits of natural boiling water and some large ones which erupt every 15 minutes and give a show to viewers. It’s amazing to see nature no matter how many times and how closely you see.
The best part of the golden circle was Gullfoss falls.. about 10 mins from the Geysir which is majestic and unexplainable.
A drive through þingvellir national park was what is defined as serenity. The autumn colours make the place look so beautiful. We stopped at few viewing stops around the park admiring the beauty..
As it was getting dark and with a lighter cloud cover we tried to hunt for the Aurora Borealis but it still eludes us…
