Started the day earlier than planned even though it was drizzling. We ended up taking the earlier tour for whale watching. Cold icy breeze on the front of the ship, eyes peeled at every white movement in the sea looking for signs of any activity by the beasts… everyone was drenched in the rain but didnβt want to give up.. almost before turning back there was again a glimmer of hope when the lookout guide shouted βMinke at 12β Oβ clockβ. And after that it was a complete show for us. Air blowing Minke whales taking triple leaps in the water, Harbour Porpoise running around in the group, white beak dolphins jumping and playing in the wild sea. The whale watching expedition was a complete success and we came back very wet but very content.

After changing to dry clothes we headed for a walk of the city. The city is full of graffiti and Icelanders have done very small but plenty of things to make their capital city beautiful. Majestic Hallgrimskirkja church, Tjornin lake with plenty of swans, beautiful harps centre, and eluded sun voyager were a treat to the eye and heart.
Later at night after dinner we took a ride in the car towards the Grotta lighthouse and to see the Harpa.
