As first-time safari-goers, we wanted to ensure our trip was both well-planned and perfectly timed. From the legendary Serengeti to the awe-inspiring Ngorongoro Crater, Tanzania’s Northern Parks Circuit offered everything we were looking for in our safari destination.
After months of anticipation and meticulous planning, we’ve finally arrived ! Now that we’ve arrived, the excitement is unparalleled. The journey to this point was worth every bit of planning, and the adventure has only just begun.

Our adventure began at midnight in Delhi, and after 24 hours of travel, three flight changes, and covering an incredible 5,246 km, we finally touch down at Kilimanjaro International Airport! Our journey took us through Mumbai and Ethiopia with a halt at Addis Ababa. both were nice airports and we took some pictures along the way.
On the final leg to Kilimanjaro the journey went fast eating resting and watching movies. Since I was on the window seat I didn’t leave an opportunity to take some pictures of the beautiful landscape below. Finally as the plane descends from the north, we’re greeted by the most breathtaking views over the peaks of Mt. Meru & Mt. Kilimanjaro covered in snow and kissed with clouds – what a magical welcome to Tanzania!.
Though the airport is small but things moved rather slow, first for health card verification then for immigration. After getting the luggage we head outside the airport but the journey isn’t over yet. We have one last stretch—a 50 km drive to Arusha where our night stay awaits. Our driver is already waiting outside the airport, and with an eager heart, we hop into the car, ready for the final leg of our arrival in this enchanting land.
As we reach Arusha late in the evening, the sight of majestic mountains surrounding the bustling town leaves us in awe. The warm, welcoming vibe of the people here is incredible! We’re staying right in the heart of the town, surrounded by all its vibrant culture and energy.
After a quick check-in, we freshen up, grab some celebratory drinks, and dive into a hearty dinner. There’s a buzz of excitement during our planning and briefing session for the next day—the day our safari adventure officially begins! With the thrill of what’s to come and the exhaustion of the journey behind us, we finally settle in for a much-needed rest.
