Day 1: The journey starts… against all odds… transport strike, health issues and last minute hiccups.. but we are here.. ready and about. Iceland.. we are coming !!!!!
Reached Keflavik on time, the luggage also came through pretty fast and then we were off to the car rental…. not without first buying some booze off the duty free. :-) No it wasn’t cold.. probably because it was raining outside.
The car rental (as expected) gave us a load of warnings and tried to elude us in taking more insurances… well soon we were on the way to our booked apartment in Reykjavik and reached by 7:45 local time (after a wrong turn and circling for about 10 mins).
Tonight is a bit of rest and then we are off tomorrow morning on our tour to hunt history, Whales and some local culture.
